let’s make your next record.

I’m MTCHLR

I help indie artists create music they're proud of, so they can finally release the music they've been sitting on.

Whether you’re starting your first song, or releasing your next album, I’m here to help you make music that feels honest and fully you.

Overthinking is a folk-pop song by Kevin Farris. It took about a month or so to dial in the perfect amount of naive and anthem. It became a nice, full, anthemic production in the vein of Noah Kahan

This one was especially a fun one because I got to learn some banjo and mandolin for it!

Eavesdropping is a debut song by Madeleine!
It initially started as an indie singersongwriter demo, but Madeleine referenced Clairo, and some alternative groovy vibes for the song.

So I changed the rhythm, and added all the rest of the instruments. The result? One of my favourite productions.

Haunted is a wild Western/Folk/Rock production from Charlie Bishop. It clashes into a heavy, cult-like horror composition. One of the wildest productions I’ve ever done.

Everything from the individual instrumental parts to the final mix was a completely unorthodox piece of work

Campfires by Jay Ssandri is a piece of nostalgia. Everything from the soft piano right up to the main acoustic guitars supports the excitement and longing of a particular moment in time. Jay and I have worked together for a long time, finding great success with tunes like “Caramel Midnight”, which has over a million streams.

The Journey from Demo to Drop.

1. The Discovery Call

Before we touch a single fader, we talk. We’ll jump on a call to discuss your influences, the story behind your song, and the vibe you’ve been chasing. We’ll make sure we’re both aligned on the emotional heart of your record.

2. Building the Foundation

Whether we’re starting from a voice memo or a fully tracked session, this is where the magic happens. I’ll begin layering instruments, refining the arrangement, and finding the textures that make your song feel full. You’ll receive regular updates so you’re never left wondering where your music is headed.

3. Collaborative Refining

We’ll hop into Live Session Calls where you can see my screen and hear the mix in real-time. We’ll tweak the vocal levels, adjust the drum punch, and make sure every detail feels right.

4. The Finish Line

Once the mix is perfect, I provide the final Mastering to ensure your song sounds professional, loud, and balanced on every speaker. You’ll receive your release-ready files, along with any alternate versions (instrumentals/TV mixes) you need to successfully share your music with the world.
